As part of our annual Information Disclosures, we publish information about power outages on our network.
To help our customers and stakeholders understand how our electricity network is performing, we publish annual reports under Schedule 10a of the Commerce Commission’s Information Disclosure requirements.
These reports show details about power outages on our network – including when they happened, how long they lasted, and what caused them. We also include reliability measures like SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index), which reflect how often and how long customers experience outages on average. Sharing this information helps us stay transparent and accountable, and gives you insight into how we’re working to keep the lights on.
