How to report an outage
If you want a new electricity connection, and there is no available point of supply on your property boundary, we will need to build one.
You can make a request for this work here, but before you do, here are some things you may need to know before you start:
Once we receive your request and confirm what is needed, it can take up to two weeks to provide a quote to you.*
The process to install a point of supply can take up to 6-8 weeks once payment is received.*
Please read the note at the bottom of this page for our current status.
Before the final livening of your connection, you will need to sign up with an electricity retailer. You can find a list of retailers here
You should consult a qualified electrician before making a request, as we will have some technical requirements
(i.e. How many phases? What size amps? etc.)
Vegetation may need to be cut back or removed to allow this work to proceed
For further information on getting an electricity supply, see our FAQs
*With larger, more complex connection requests, timeframes may be longer than specified above.
⚠️ STATUS UPDATE: Due to the high volume of requests currently being received, combined with council restrictions (between December and January in some areas) and delays associated with COVID-19, we might need extra time to undertake requested jobs.
