More Information
We’re placing additional crews on standby tomorrow to patrol our network and respond to faults. If our electricity network is impacted, we'll do our best to get the power back on as quickly as we can.
Our first priority will be to attend any faults which present a safety concern, with our next priority being to restore power to the largest affected areas. We'll then work on fixing smaller faults and restoring power to any individual properties that might still be without power.
For faults impacting the overhead lines on our network, our crews will need to wait for the weather to die down before they can safely complete repairs. We may also experience repeat outages as strong winds continue to blow trees and debris into our power lines.
We’ll be monitoring the network closely throughout the storm and will provide regular updates on our website, including all outages affecting more than 10 people.
Make sure trampolines and other outdoor objects are secured for safety reasons, and to prevent them from damaging property and overhead electrical equipment.
Please also remember to:
· Let your electricity retailer know if you experience a power cut and it's not shown on our outages page.
· Phone our emergency line on 0800 248 148 if you spot anything you think might be an electrical hazard.
· Treat all electrical equipment as live at all times.
· Follow your emergency response plan if you're medically dependent, and contact your health practitioner if an outage puts you at risk of harm.
· Call 111 if anyone's in danger or if there’s a fire or serious risk to property.
