We’ve launched a new map on our Outages page showing which suburbs have single-property faults and when our crews are expected to attend those areas.
This map is designed to paint a clearer picture of how many single-property outages are remaining and where they’re located, as well as provide customers with a better indication of when their power will be restored.
Previously, only outages affecting 10 customers or more were shown on our website. After listening to customer feedback we’ve introduced this new feature to provide greater visibility during the later stages of restoration.
You can view this map by going to our Outages page and selecting Individual outages map.
What this map shows
The individual outage map shows a list of suburbs that contain single-property outages, along with how many outages are in each suburb. It also shows when we expect our crews to begin restoration in each area, along with an estimated restoration time.
As with any restoration estimates, these timings are just a guide, and may not be accurate for customers who need to carry out private repairs before they can be safely reconnected.
This map also only shows customers who’ve logged their fault with us via their retailer. If you’re without power but haven’t logged your fault yet, your power may be restored outside of the estimated restoration window provided.
About single-property outages
Single-property outages are usually caused by localised damage, such as a fault on the line serving just one home. Because our crews prioritise repairs that restore power to the largest number of customers first, these smaller, harder-to-locate faults are typically repaired last.
