Today’s restoration efforts were carried out as planned, with only a handful of customers left without power. These customers are awaiting meter board repairs before their power can be restored safely, which will be coordinated tomorrow.

If you’re not one of these customers and you’re still without power, please call your electricity retailer so we can get you reconnected.

We’d like to thank everyone involved in our restoration efforts, particularly the lines crews from around the region for their tireless work in challenging conditions.

The collective teamwork of all our teams, support staff, and partner organisations enabled us to complete this large-scale restoration in five days after Thursday’s storm.

We appreciate the patience of every customer who went without power while we worked to restore supply to the Wellington network.
