Help shape the future of Wellington's electricity network

This is an important time for Wellington’s electricity network. Over time, more homes, businesses and transport are likely to rely on electricity. At the same time, our network is ageing, and some of the equipment that has served the region well for decades will increasingly need to be replaced.

Now, we need to make careful choices about how to build for the future, balancing affordability, safety and reliability while managing the disruption that delivering the work can create for Wellingtonians.

To support the additional investment we are proposing beyond the current investment (DPP4) settings, we intend to apply to the Commerce Commission for a Customised Price-Quality Path (CPP). Our proposal will be independently reviewed and assessed before the Commission decides the price and service-quality settings that will apply to Wellington Electricity.
